How to use the Lending Library at OLLI at UAH

Compliments of OLLI, DVDs can be checked out only by current members of Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at UAH.

Available DVDs are featured in the Lending Library Listing Binder located on the bulletin-board in front of the OLLI office. After selecting a title from the Lending Library List, please follow these procedures:

1. Give the title to the office volunteer to obtain the appropriate DVD envelope from the 4-draw file cabinet in the office and remove the DVD from the envelope.

2. Fill out the accompanying envelope form which includes date, name, phone number, e-mail address and when expected to return the DVD.

3. Attach the envelope to the clip board in front of the file draw.

General Information for Borrower

  • It is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED that prior to using the DVD as a teaching tool the DVD be viewed in its entirety (before class) to ensure that it is complete and free of defects.
  • Most of the DVDs are approximately two hours in length with the exception of the From Yao to Mao DVDs which are three hours in length.
  • It is suggested that the borrower play the DVD on a standard DVD player. If prompted for a region, use region #1
